We off a variety of educational opportunities throughout the year, both individually through unique, grass roots programs or through partnerships where we host specialized trainings based on the current needs of our region. Leadership Central Montana

Our flagship program, Leadership Central Montana, provides essential leadership training for public servants and community leaders, helping them to effectively navigate and excel in their roles.

SMDC founded Leadership Central Montana in 2011. Between September and May the class meets once a month to develop their leadership skills while learning more about Central Montana.

Our goals:

Community Awareness - Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Central Montana economy & the key industries driving local growth and prosperity.

Professional Development -Provide participants with essential leadership skills, including conflict resolution, critical thinking, values-based leadership, mentorship, and effective communication.

Networking - Create a diverse network of current & aspiring leaders who are committed to collaborating & driving positive change in the Central Montana region.

Future Growth -Empower participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge & skills to enhance their professional roles & contribute to the sustainable development of Central MT communities.

Employer & Community Involvement- Inspire & equip participants to become agents of positive change, driving innovation, & sustainable growth within their organizations and the broader Central MT community.

Customized Business and Public Service Training

We offer a wide range of training and educational opportunities tailored to the needs of businesses and public servants throughout the region.

Our past trainings and partners have included:

Board Training: Specialized training sessions to enhance the effectiveness of board members in both nonprofit and corporate sectors.
Assistance for Business Clinics: Partnering with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry and Lewistown Job Service the clinic aims to provide valuable resources to both new and established businesses, as well as professionals such as accountants, bookkeepers, human resource experts, and attorneys.
Collaborative Development Initiatives: In partnership with industry experts, we deliver targeted training programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the workforce, ensuring that our community remains competitive and prosperous.
